I have the same error and found a VDD is missing or corrupt in my Registry.
I deleted all audio drivers and they reinstalled after reboot. But still get
the sam error. Also I run Nero OEM and it is not working correctly. Can find
how to reinstall a Virtual Device Driver?

I got the same error when I tried to load a VIDEO-ON-DEMAND file in the media
player. I reinstalled the media player but keep getting the same error at the
point where the media player should load the file for playback.
